A Zine is a small circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images. Zines are motivated by self-expression and informed by the DIY movement. This workshop is geared towards artists who are already working within zines, but looking to make interesting and unique covers for their pre-existing projects.

In this workshop, participants will play with carved stamps as a starting point to create their own cover designs and we’ll add text using our showcard press and letterpress wood type to make a small edition!

All materials are provided. Please feel free to bring anything that you might want to incorporate into your zine covers.
