The Steamroller

SPF includes a larger-than-life steamroller printing event! The steamroller is the star of the SPF show with it’s top notch participants and prime location at the fair. This year we are switching things up in an effort to enable more folks to step up and print big! Participants can register to print one proof during the fair using the steamroller for our lowest participant cost ever of $25 per block! After the fair, participants are also welcome to schedule up to 4 hours of unassisted studio time at IS Projects to use their large format etching press to make more prints! All materials for steamroller printing are included in the participation. Participation is limited so get your registration in today!

Print Proposal

How many blocks do you plan to bring and what size are they? Please keep in mind: the max width the steamroller can accommodate is 40", the max length the press at IS Projects can accommodate is 80", the ideal block thickness for our set up is 1/2" other widths can be accommodated but might affect the printing result. *this is a large format printing event so blocks under 20x20" will not be printed using the steamroller at SPF'22*
